Telehealth Appointments and Payments
If you are booking a telehealth consult, you will need to pre-authorize the payment either online or by contacting one of our reception staff, however this is not the final fee as this may vary based upon length of consultation and this may be adjusted by your GP after the conclusion of your consultation. All accounts must be finalized and settled by the end of the day to avoid your account being locked from future appointments.
“Understanding ‘No-Show’ Fees and How to Avoid Them”
Dear Valued Patient,
We’ve noticed that appointment delays can be frustrating for you and are equally challenging for our staff. We are committed to improving punctuality in our scheduling and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Please note, arriving late or choosing to leave before your consultation is complete may incur a “No-Show” fee. Similarly, if you must leave early due to other commitments, it can disrupt the schedule and impact other patients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in managing your schedule to accommodate these potential delays.
Delays often occur because each consultation might run a bit longer than expected. For instance, just four extra minutes per appointment can accumulate, causing significant delays by the end of the morning. Here are a few ways you can help us manage time better during your visit:
1. Preparing for Your Appointment:To help ensure that all appointments proceed smoothly and on schedule, we kindly ask that you avoid booking other commitments close to your appointment time here at Coolangatta Medical Centre. This helps us manage any unforeseen delays more effectively and ensures that you receive the full attention and care you deserve without rush.
2. Be Prepared: Typically, consultations are scheduled for about 12 minutes. Please come organized with a list of topics you wish to discuss to make the most of your time with the doctor.
3. Follow-up Visits: If your issues require more time, the doctor may suggest a follow-up appointment. This ensures that each concern gets the attention it deserves.
4. Extended Consultations: If you anticipate needing more time because of multiple concerns, please consider booking a longer appointment.
Please be aware that if you decide to leave before your consultation is complete, you will still be responsible for the full cost of the appointment.
Emergencies or unforeseen complexities in some consultations can also cause delays. If you think your upcoming visit might require more time (e.g., for insurance forms, comprehensive medical exams, counselling sessions, surgical procedures, or appointments for multiple family members), kindly inform our reception team in advance.
Cancellations: Please note that a cancellation fee equivalent to the full cost of the consultation will apply if you cancel within 4 hours of your scheduled appointment.
Booking Online: For your convenience, both Telehealth and face-to-face appointments can be scheduled via our website. Conditions apply.
We strive to respect your time and appreciate your efforts to help us enhance our services. Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
