Menopause is an inevitable aspect of a woman’s journey, bringing about hormonal changes that can affect your body, mood, and daily routines. From sleepless nights to sudden hot flushes and shifting moods, the changes are undeniable. But it doesn’t have to be something you face alone or in silence. We are here to offer support and guidance, so you can navigate this difficult chapter and feel like yourself again.
What is Menopause?
Menopause is a natural part of ageing, marked by the end of a woman’s reproductive years. This happens as the ovaries naturally produce less estrogen over time. Menopause typically occurs in women in their 40s and 50s and is diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. However, menopause can also occur due to medical treatments such as chemotherapy or a surgical procedure like bilateral oophorectomy, which is the removal of both ovaries.
