Professional Background
Originally from Brazil, Dr Rocha found herself on the Gold Coast, as many do, drawn by the coastline, lifestyle, and world-class surf. Outside of medicine, she enjoys surfing, yoga, travel, and spending time with her family and friends.
Prior to studying medicine, Dr Rocha worked as a Clinical Psychologist, supporting individuals experiencing complex mental health conditions. Her work spanned both Australia, Brazil and the remote island nation of Nauru, where she gained valuable experience working with diverse populations in challenging environments. This foundation fostered a deep appreciation for the interconnected nature of physical and mental health and ultimately inspired her transition into medicine.
Dr Gabriela Rocha is an Australian-trained General Practitioner with a strong commitment to helping her patients achieve meaningful and sustainable improvements in their health and wellbeing. Her approach combines evidence-based medicine with a deep understanding of the psychological, social, and lifestyle factors that influence health, allowing her to provide care that is both comprehensive and person-centred.
