Professional Background
Following her fellowship, Joy worked as a GP on the Central Coast but continued the search for a lifestyle that offered the perfect balance between meaningful work and seaside serenity. While she may have crossed state lines, she remains a proud Blues supporter—please don’t hold that against her! In return, she brings a warm sense of humour, a holistic approach, and a strong commitment to patient-centred care.
Specialisation
Professionally, Joy has special interests in children’s health, women’s health (including antenatal care), skin cancer medicine, and preventative care. She has completed the Sydney Child Health Program and is currently undertaking the Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine with the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She also performs a range of procedures including skin biopsies and excisions, Implanon insertion and removal, iron infusions, and venesection.
Additional Information
Outside of the clinic, Joy enjoys paddle boarding, beach walks, lifting weights, and attending church. She plans to learn how to surf—so if she accidentally steals your wave, she hopes you’ll forgive her!
